Pink and John Hegwood

Our family has been making moonshine since before the Civil War. This is Pink Hegwood. His recipe is still the one we are using today. His brother, John Hegwood can be found on the front of every one of our bottles. These brothers worked together to make the moonshine back in the day. It was a family business just like it still is today. In 1912 John Hegwood was hung for killing a man who told where his still was located. On the gally his last words were "Let Ur Rip".

Billy Sunday Birt

This is Billy Sunday Birt. He is the next generation to have and make the recipes. It wasn't his favorite part of the business though, he had a passion for driving fast. So hauling it fit him much better. He was known in Georgia and surrounding states for his fast car. He never got caught hauling moonshine in that car.
